We would like to invite you and your family to the Mullen Baptist Church, in the country near Montrose. As the pastor, I would like to try and tell you why Mullen Baptist Church is a different type of place to come and worship the Lord.

Let me say first of all, that the dress is casual, and informal. We believe the Lord is interested in your heart and what is on the inside. If you choose to dress up, that’s fine: but most of our members prefer to remain on the casual side. Most of the time, I prefer not to wear a tie when I’m at church, preaching or otherwise. We think you should feel comfortable in whatever you choose to wear.

I would also say that our member are very close to one another, and are very much a family. We believe in helping each other in good and in the tough times, when we all need help in getting through. Our members really enjoy each other, and we have a lot of fun along the way. It’s awesome!

And as pastor, I promise not to waste your time. If you’ve come to worship the Lord, I will bring messages that are not only relevant to today’s times, but will speak directly, with no politics or political correctness. Sin is still sin, hell is still in existence, although many wish it weren’t.

I probably realize that Mullen Baptist is not for everyone. I know many persons will prefer the large, formal, dressy service and minister. But, if you want to come where (guests become friends, and friends become family,) then we ask you to give us a try. We’re growing, having fun, and worshipping the Lord. Isn’t that what it’s truly about ? Hope to see you Sunday.
